Terms of business
  • Please read the label on the cake to check the ingredients for allergens.
  • My Cottage Kitchen reserves the right to change prices without notice.
  • All goods will be dispatched as soon as possible and take 3- 5 working days to arrive if they are in stock. Where items are out of stock you will be advised and can decide whether to proceed with the order.
  • Damages or shortages must be notified to My Cottage Kitchen within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Please note cakes are non returnable if opened or used in any way. Please be sure of what you purchase - if you are in doubt ask us before ordering.
  • In the event of cancellation I reserve the right to charge a handling fee to cover administrative costs, or in some circumstances we may require a non refundable deposit.
  • My Cottage Kitchen's total liability for any claim howsoever arising, shall not exceed the price of the cakes supplied by My Cottage Kitchen to the customer.
  • Please note photos are for general illustration only and the product may vary from that shown
  • English law applies to all transactions.
  • Your Statutory rights are not affected by any statement contained in this document or our website.
  • By placing an order with My Cottage Kitchen, either through my website, over the telephone, or by any other medium you are agreeing to these terms.
  • If any payment is subsequently withdrawn, disputed, charged back or reversed in any way by the customer, the full amount, an administration fee and any additional fees incurred by My Cottage Kitchen will become payable by the customer.
  • I may decline to accept your order for any reason whatsoever and shall not be responsible for any loss or damage of any kind, which you might suffer by  reason of me declining to accept or for cancelling your order.

e Delivery
  • Payment must be made in advance before any goods are prepared or dispatched.
  • I use a courier service with tracking of your cake and delivery will be between 3- 5 days and will not arrive on Sundays or Bank Holidays. Please allow a longer delivery time during busy periods.
  • If delivery is to a large building such as an office, hospital or school, please check with your post room or reception before contacting me.
  • If delivery is attempted and the courier is unable to leave the cake (for example because nobody is available to take receipt)  then the responsibility  is with the customer to arrange redelivery or collection and I cannot accept liability for late delivery.
  • In the unlikely event that your cake is lost in transit, you must notify me within 48 hours of expected delivery. Compensation may be available up to a maximum of the price paid by the customer, if the cake cannot be traced and is confirmed as lost.  
  • Your cake will be very carefully packaged so that it arrives in perfect condition. in the unlikely event that the cake appears to have been damaged in transit, you must notify me within 24 hrs  of receipt. Any replacement products, refunds or compensation will be considered, and may be granted at my discretion and only in the event that the cake is damaged beyond reasonable use. I  will require evidence of any damage, which must be received by me within 7 days of the original delivery. This evidence may be in the form of photographs, or by returning the goods to me and must include the original packaging.
  • My Cottage Kitchen will deliver to the address provided by you. If the address or post code is incomplete or incorrect in any way I accept no liability for late or non delivery. If you are unsure of your post code call Royal Mail on this local rate number, 08457 111222 or visit their website www.royalmail.com. Any redirection charges must be paid for by the customer.
